Ted and the girls

They are getting ready for a train ride to Kiev then flights home tomorrow. I am getting choked up but trying to stay strong. Please pray for all of us.

Our "IT" people are leaving....that would be Delaney and Ted...so I am not sure how the blogging will go from here; nor the uploading of pictures. Bear with me.

The girls gave Valera his iPod today. We used google translate to explain that they used their own money to buy it. He has not stopped thanking them. I think we are up to fifty "thank you''s"

Pa, Valera and I will probably go ice skating....in honor of the holiday. Ukraine got its independence from Russia 21 years ago today. I wonder if there will be fireworks?

Have a great day in the USA!

  1. Lisa, We will be praying for Ted and the girls ... that God would put a hedge of protection around them as they travel. We also have a group of ladies who are on their knees praying that the judge would waive the 10-day wait after your court date ... then you could all come home together!!! We are on our knees! "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" Isaiah 26:3
Tell Valera that babushka karol says hello!!! And I can't wait to see him again.

  2. Oh Lisa, I am so enjoying every word of your blog! I know that this isn't ideal (Ted/girls going home without you), but remember that God is in control. He has his reasons!! I'm sure he'll show you that soon. Every story you've typed just makes my heart so warm. What an amazing boy he is. I can't wait to see him again. I will be at the airport to pick up your family and give them big hugs. Hang in there and let God give you the strength you need. That's what makes him the happiest! I LOVE all the pictures so I'm hoping they won't stop (hint, hint). I miss you! Love to all!

  3. Dear Lisa , I am just now catching up on your blog and savoring every bit of your journal. Its amazing to hear the change of your tone and feeling you "let go and let God" He is amazing and such loving Father.
But here at home , I have not been doing that at all, I am fighting for some control or influence over a difficult situation, my efforts are futile - once again God is teaching me to lean on Him, not myself. WHY cant I learn it the first time ?
Well, back to you my sweet friend, I cant imagine what you may be feeling , to be in the Ukraine with your "modern family" ! this is going to be a beautiful relationship foundation for you and Valera and Pa (: i keep praying for all of you and we will check on Ted and the girls next week. We are going to the OBX Sunday - Thursday.
We cant wait to meet Valera (:
    You are a treasure , Lisa !

    Love you,
